Welcome to Finding Nimo!

Your mission as an alien (👽), is to find Nimo (🐶) trapped in a tree wall in a forest with trees, snakes, devils (😈), and boulders (🪨). Use a sword (⚔️) to chop trees or defeat snakes, collect power-ups (🧬, ⚡, 🔧), and return Nimo to his dog house (🏠, 2x2). Compete for the fastest time on your personal leaderboard (top 5, resets 12 PM EST) and earn achievements!

How to Play:

1. Start:

   Choose Easy (5 snakes, 2 devils, 75 sword uses)

   Medium (10 snakes, 4 devils, 50 sword uses)

   Hard (15 snakes, 6 devils, 25 sword uses).

2. Move: Use WASD or touch buttons (↑↓←→) to navigate:

   • W/Up: Move up

   • A/Left: Move left

   • S/Down: Move down

   • D/Right: Move right

3. Pause: Press P or Pause button to pause (Resume, Restart, View Controls).

4. Find Sword/Power-Ups: Move next to sword (⚔️) or power-ups (🧬 health, ⚡ speed, 🔧 durability), press E or Equip.

5. Use Sword: Next to a tree or snake, press Z or Chop/Attack (5 hits for trees, 4 for snakes).

6. Find Nimo: Nimo (🐶) is in a tree wall, moves every 60s after freed. Chop a tree to reach him.

7. Capture Nimo: Next to Nimo (1 square), press C or Capture.

8. Return to Dog House: Find the dog house (🏠). Press R or Release to win!

9. Watch Out:

   • Snakes (red, 1x6) deal 20/10 damage (player/Nimo).

   • Devils (😈) deal 5 damage.

   • Boulders (🪨) push you back.

   • There are 3 secret trap doors that will spawn you back in the middle of the game.

   • Game over if player/Nimo health reaches 0 or all snakes defeated.

10. Personal Leaderboard: View your top 5 scores (resets 12 PM EST). Enter X username to compete.

11. Achievements: Earn trophies (e.g., “Fast Rescuer”) below leaderboard.

12. UI:

    • Timer: MM:SS in a box.

    • Health: Player (👽) and Nimo (🐶) bars (green >20%, red ≤20%).

    • Sword: Durability bar (green >10 uses, red ≤10).

    • Power-Ups: Status (e.g., “Speed Active: 10s”) in UI.

13. Replay: Win/lose, enter username, click “Play Again”.

Tips:

• Save sword uses (watch durability bar). Collect power-ups for boosts.

• Pause to strategize. Boulders push you—avoid getting trapped!

• Earn achievements like “Fast Rescuer” (win <60s).

• Use touch controls on phone or keyboard on computer (WASD, E, Z, C, R, P).
